國立屏東大學英語學系徵聘專任教師公告

一、職稱:助理教授(含)以上專任教師。

二、名額:2

三、起聘日期:115年8月1日

四、資格條件:

(一)具英美文學相關專長博士學位、助理教授職級以上教師證書,或劇場專長專技助理教授以上。

(二)具語言學相關專長博士學位或助理教授職級以上教師證書。

(三)需具備全英語教學能力,以英語為母語之外籍人士尤佳。

五、工作內容:

(一)教授本學系相關專長領域課程:

1.英美文學、文化及劇場表演課程,如英國文學、美國文學、莎士比亞、劇場實務與英語教學等。

2.語言學課程,如:英語語言學概論、英語語言學研究、社會語言學、言談分析等。

(二)教授英文聽說讀寫課程。

(三)指導學生專題及碩士論文。

(四)協助其他相關行政工作、產學合作計畫或國際合作案。

六、申請資料:

(一)應徵教師個人基本資料表。

(二)詳細中文履歷表(含自傳貼照片)。

(三)應徵信函,敘明申請人的專長領域對本系課程與發展可能之貢獻。

(四)最高學歷證書、成績證明(持國外學歷者,請將博士學位證書及歷年成績單送至駐外單位辦理驗證,併提供修業學校歷年行事曆與個人入出國紀錄、境外學歷送審教師資格修業情形一覽表;應徵人員博士學位為大陸學歷者,應繳交教育部核發之大陸地區學歷採認函)。

(五)身分證、居留證等影本。

(六)教師證書(未具者免附)或與應徵職務相關之證照影本。

(七)學術著作(含博碩士論文及五年內著作抽印本各一份)。

(八)可教授本系文學或語言學課程大綱三門及其中一門課程試教影片5~10分鐘(影片連結請附於課程大綱之後)。

(九)其他有助審查之相關作品、得獎證明或相關經歷文件影本。

(十)推薦信兩封。

九、備註:

(一) 經初審符合資格者,由用人單位通知到校參加面試;若應徵者未具有大專合格教師證書,經初審、面試通過並經用人單位通知,應附博士論文五本,經外審通過後,方得提報本校教師評審委員會審議。

(二) 新進專任教師試聘二年,初聘及第一次續聘均為試聘期間,教學單位應與所聘任之教師訂定工作約定書,包含工作重點與預期成果,試聘評核未通過者,經各級教師評審委員會決議得不予續聘。第三年起,須通過評核後,始繼續聘任。

(三) 依本校新進教師限期升等辦法規定,自105學年度起,本校新進教師應至遲於到校後六年內通過教育部審定教師資格升等,如未於限期內通過升等者,應依該辦法第4條規定予以督促改進。(詳見本校人事室網頁法規彙編)

(四) 須配合本校組織編制及校務需要,調整所屬學術單位。

(五) 應徵人員同意本校依性別平等教育法第29條及不適任教育人員之通報與資訊蒐集及查詢利用辦法規定,向教育部、法務部、警政機關及中央社政主管機關進行資訊蒐集及查詢。

Two Full-Time Faculty Opening at the Department of English,

National Pingtung University, Taiwan

Qualifications

  1. A PhD degree/ a teaching certificate at the rank of Assistant Professor or above in English and American Literature or theater-related fields
  2. A PhD degree/ a teaching certificate at the rank of Assistant Professor or above in linguistics-related fields
  3. Ability to teach fully in English
  4. A native speaker of English is preferred

Job Responsibilities

  1. Teaching English Literature, American Literature, Shakespeare, Theater Practice and English Teaching
  2. Teaching Introduction to English linguistics, Studies in English Linguistics, Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis, and other linguistic courses
  3. Teaching language courses
  4. Supervising students’ performances, projects, and master's theses
  5. Helping with Industry-Academia Collaboration Projects or International Collaboration Projects

*Please note:

    1. PhD diplomas and academic transcripts obtained abroad should be verified by the relevant overseas representative office, the academic calendar of the school attended each year, a Certificate of Entry and Exit Dates, and a summary table of the study status for teacher qualification review of foreign academic credentials.
    2. Applicants who obtained doctoral degrees in Mainland China must submit an Academic Credential Recognition Letter issued by the Ministry of Education.

Notes

  1. Applicants who pass the preliminary qualification review will be invited for a teaching demonstration and an interview. After passing the preliminary review and interview, those who do not have college teaching certificates must submit five copies of their doctoral dissertations for outside review. Only after passing the external review can their cases be submitted to the university’s Faculty Evaluation Committee for deliberation.
  2. Newly appointed full-time teachers must sign an employment contract specifying key responsibilities and expected achievements. They are subject to a two-year probationary period, including the initial appointment and the first contract renewal. If they fail the probationary evaluation, various levels of the faculty evaluation committees may decide not to renew the contract. From the third year onward, the teacher must pass an evaluation to renew the contract.
  3. According to the regulations of NPTU, newly hired faculty must go through the required processes and be promoted to a higher position within six years. Those who fail to do so will be subject to supervision and improvement measures in accordance with Article 4 of the relevant regulations.   4. The appointee shall be required to adjust their affiliated academic unit in accordance with the University’s organizational structure and institutional needs, if necessary.
  5. In accordance with Article 29 of the Gender Equity Education Act and the Regulations for Reporting, Collecting, and Utilizing Information on Unfit Educational Personnel, the applicant should give consent to National Pingtung University to collect and inquire about information from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, police agencies, and central social welfare authorities.
